The Dot Com Family (Family.Com), Written and directed by Amr Gamal. It is the first play of the Gulf of Aden troupe. It was premiered on May 5, 2005 at the Aden Nights Theater Festival. Then, in 2006, it was commercialized for two consecutive seasons, the Eid al-Fitr season and the Eid al-Adha season, on the stage of the Hurricane Cinema in Aden city. Then, in 2007, the theatrical performances moved to Sana'a and were shown there for a third season. The total live performances of this play were 35 shows on more than one stage. The production tells a story of an old school type father who thinks negatively of the impact of technology on the new generation. The father removes the computer from his children’s room to the living area to ensure more supervision from his end. As a result, a demonstration takes place in the living area where the children protest their father’s decision
